The biggest transformative agreement in North America was announced last week, a four-year agreement between the University of California and Elsevier. This large-scale, multi-institution agreement includes an integrated contract for reading access and open access publishing for UC schools and will include 4,400 articles published open access annually, offering more opportunities for learning and furthering the OA movement.
