We see this as an important step for SirsiDynix in keeping our commitment to provide superior service, develop technologies, and support our libraries. Certification is conditional on maintaining the required performance standards throughout the certified period of June 26, 2015–June 25, 2018. The British Assessment Bureau conforms to the ISO 17021 standard, which ensured a consistent and impartial audit of our software and services.
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. ISO 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is based on eight principles: Customer Focus, Leadership, Involvement of People, Process Approach, System Approach to Management, Continual Improvement, Factual Approach to Decision Making, and Mutually Beneficial Supplier Relationships. Our Professional Services Team was assessed based on each of these criteria and was found in compliance.
With the ISO 9001:2008 certification, our UK Professional Services Team will continue as they have to provide services that are not only meeting customer requirements, but are improving upon them. We see this certification as much more than meeting a standard, but as an additional way to provide confidence for our libraries in the software and services we deliver.
