Due to an increased need for contactless solutions, more and more professors relied on digital materials and open access content than any other year on record. The 2020 Faculty Watch Report surveyed 968 faculty members from a variety of institutions about their experience teaching in 2020. Only 77 percent of faculty members used print materials compared to 86 percent the year before and 93 percent in the 2015-2016 school year.
